HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer

It all started with a ink cartridge incompatible message, even though it is from HP. I got a new cartridge, and it actually prints, but has a blinking E. I believe I need to install new firmware, yet cannot figure out how to do that on the HP site that is so ridiculous.
