Thank you for reaching out! When you receive a new set of HP Instant Ink cartridges, a prepaid recycling return envelope is normally included in the same shipment.

Here’s how to get extra HP Instant Ink recycling envelopes when they were not included in your cartridge shipment:

How to Request Additional Recycling Envelopes

1. From Your Instant Ink Account

1. Sign in at HP Instant Ink – Ink Monthly Subscription | HP Official Site.
2. Navigate to “Cartridges & Recycling” → “Return Supplies”.
3. Click “Request More Recycling Envelopes”.
4. Confirm your mailing address and request the number you need.

HP will mail you the recycling envelopes for free.

2. Use the Instant Ink Return Label

If envelopes are unavailable or out of stock:

1. In your Instant Ink account, go to “Recycling”.
2. Choose “Print a Prepaid Label”.
3. Place your used cartridges in any small mailer or box you have.
4. Attach the printed HP return label and send it back.

Good question — this is actually handled only through HP Instant Ink support, not normal printer support, and you don’t need to wait for the next shipment.

I’ll explain why the envelopes weren’t included and then tell you exactly how to get more.

Why you didn’t get recycling envelopes this time

HP does not include recycling envelopes in every Instant Ink shipment.

They’re sent:

• Periodically

• Or when HP’s system estimates you’re due for one

• Or when cartridges are “initial” vs “replacement” types

So missing envelopes does not mean a mistake — it just means HP didn’t auto-trigger them.

✅ Option 1 – Request them online (fastest)

1. Go to HP Instant Ink Support

2. Sign in with your HP account

3. Choose Instant Ink

4. Look for:

   • Recycling

   • Request recycling envelopes

5. Submit the request

HP mails them free of charge.
