@Anon210, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
Yes, you will have to remove/delete the printer from your Instant Ink account for the new owner to claim and enroll it with a new account.
To cancel:
1.Sign into your HP Instant Ink account.
- If HP Smart is listed at the top of the menu, click HP Instant Ink > Change Plan. Make sure the printer you want to cancel is selected. You can verify the printer serial number by selecting Plan Overview, and then Printer Details in the Status area.
- If HP Smart is not listed, make sure the printer you want to cancel is selected, and then click My Account > Account Settings.
2.Cancel your service.
- To cancel your Instant Ink service, click Cancel my HP Instant Ink Subscription and then follow the prompts.
- To cancel just the Paper Add-on service, click Remove Paper from my Instant Ink Plan and then follow the prompts.
3.Click the Keep Enrollment button on the Change Plan page if you change your mind. The button appears until the end of the current billing cycle.
- You receive an email confirmation immediately, and another at the end of the billing cycle.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
