I wanted to know if I canceled my subscription with ink/paper but I have a prepaid balance left is there any way to still use that balance on like hp.com? or somewhere else? or does it have to be used for instant ink subs only?

No, after the subscription is cancelled and the final billing is done,

There is no "pre-paid" balance left for any part of the Instant Ink service.

The Instant Ink cartridges never belonged to you - these can (should) be returned to HP.

 

 

 

Instant Ink Support can answer questions about the contract, fix any billing issues, and help you understand how to move forward.

What is an HP Instant Ink Platinum subscription?

HP Instant Ink Platinum is a printer subscription program with an all-inclusive monthly payment. This payment includes the printer, 24/7 hardware support, next-business-day replacement warranty, and CarbonNeutral usage certification. The subscription also includes a new printer every two years.

By prepaid I mean my balance of $64.24. I understand I need to return the cartridges, and will be still charged for the month, but I will still have some money left in my account that I preloaded with a giftcard. What happens to that money? Sorry if my question wasnt clear before.

Ah - makes sense.

I would guess that any balance belongs to you.

 

If there are purchase restrictions there should be a note of such either on the back (if the card is physical) or in a document that was issued with the card.

 

When you contact Instant Ink Support, do ask - this might be a question they've answered before.

If you have canceled the instant ink subscription, you won't be able to use those left pages or instant ink cartridges.
