Hi @Waris7,

Sorry for the delay in response and thanks for sharing the details.

It sounds like your keyboard layout is set to the German layout (QWERTZ) instead of the standard English (QWERTY) layout. In the German layout, the positions of the "Z" and "Y" keys are swapped, which is why you're seeing the wrong characters when you type.

To fix this and switch to a different keyboard layout, you can follow these steps:

Change Keyboard Layout in Windows 11

Open Settings:

  • Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

Go to Time & Language:

  • Click on Time & Language on the left side.

Select Language & Region:

  • In the right pane, click on Language & region.

Check Your Installed Languages:

  • Under the Preferred languages section, you'll see a list of installed languages. The language with the incorrect layout (likely German) will be listed here.
  • Click on the language (e.g., German (Germany)), and then click on the three dots next to it.

Change the Keyboard Layout:

  • Select Language options from the menu that appears.
  • Under the Keyboards section, you'll see the current keyboard layout. If you want to switch to a different layout, click on Add a keyboard and select your preferred layout (e.g., English (United States) - QWERTY).
  • Once added, you can remove the German layout by clicking on the three dots next to it and selecting Remove.

Switch Between Layouts:

  • If you want to switch between keyboard layouts quickly, you can press Windows + Space to cycle through the installed layouts.

Finding Special Characters (e.g., "@")

On the German keyboard layout:

  • The "@" symbol is typed by pressing Alt Gr + Q.

Once you switch to the English (QWERTY) layout, you can type the "@" symbol by pressing Shift + 2.

These changes should resolve the issue with swapped "Z" and "Y" keys and make it easier to find special characters.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
