HP 4100 All in One Printer Info Light Constant On

Are you the proud owner of a new HP Printer and not familiar with the Instant Ink Program but signed up for the trial period? If you signed up for the HP Instant Ink program the Info button light is always on until you install the HP supplied Instant Ink cartridges. The printer detects if HP instant ink cartridges are installed versus the original cartridges that came with the printer. The Printer Information Page prints if the info button is pressed and will indicate <XX Instant Ink Ready .XX SETUP> The indicated cartridges are not HP instant ink cartridges……… Now you know why the amber light is always lit and you won’t have to spend near an hour on the phone with HP support going through troubleshooting steps to answer pretty simple questions that should have been asked at the beginning of the call. 1. Are you signed up for the Instant Ink Program?, 2. Have you received the first shipment of Instant Ink Cartridges?, 3. Are they installed? If you answer NO to “installed yet” that is why the Info light in Constant On. You’re welcome.
