I have recently replaced all my ink cartridges with a new set (HP Instant Ink).  The cyan cartridge appears not be printing at all and there seems to be a demand instead on the magenta, where I would have expected blue print.

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory with color.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

If the issue persists even after replacing the ink cartridges, I'm afraid the printhead has gone bad which is non-removable on this model printer.

Thank you Elohi. It looks as if the printer has had it.  I have tried everything possible using HP Smart and just find it takes one round in a circle.  It's tortuous and as a result a useless backup system, in my opinion.
