I have an OfficeJet 4650. It has worked fine for years. All of a sudden the ink the sent through the inkjet program gave me errors. Installed wrong, ink cartridge error etc. I requested new ones and they are doing the same thing. This is is so frustrating! I tried all the solutions given on HP and nothing works, keeps pinging saying reinstall cartridges. Please help!

@Miam1323, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Ink Cartridge Issues on HP OfficeJet 4650!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're encountering persistent ink cartridge errors with your HP OfficeJet 4650, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove the cartridges and check for any stickers or tape covering the nozzles or electrical contacts that need to be removed.
  • Reinsert the cartridges securely into their respective slots.
  • Close the ink cartridge access door and plug the printer back in.

2. Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to gently wipe the electrical contacts on the cartridges and in the printer.
  • Allow them to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

3. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer using the power button and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Retry the operation to see if the issue persists.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
