HP8028 has full cartridges; however, only printing in black. Cleaned the nozzle and inserted "new" cartridges. Nothing.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

  • Use the printer’s control panel or software to print a diagnostic page.
  • Run the built-in printhead cleaning utility from the printer settings.
  • Perform a printhead alignment through the printer menu.
  • Ensure the print job is not set to “Black & White” or “Grayscale” in the printer settings.
  • Remove and reinstall the cartridges securely.
  • Power off, unplug for 60 seconds, then restart.
  • Check HP’s support site for firmware updates.
  • Print from a different device or application.
  • Remove and reinstall the printer software.
  • Ensure the color cartridge vents are clear.
  • If the issue persists, reset the printer to default settings.
