Hi @Keeva12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP ENVY 5032 All-In-One Printer. When you replace ink cartridges and encounter communication errors, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check cartridge installation: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove the cartridges and reinstall them, ensuring they are securely seated in their respective slots.
  • Clean cartridge contacts: Ink residue or debris on the cartridge contacts can hinder communication. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord. Remove the cartridges and clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water. Once cleaned, let the contacts dry and reinstall the cartridges.
  • Reset the printer: Power cycle the printer by turning it off, unplugging the power cord, waiting for about 60 seconds, and then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can help clear any temporary issues.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer model. Updating the firmware can resolve known issues and improve printer functionality.
  • Perform a hard reset: If the previous steps don't resolve the problem, try performing a hard reset. Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
