Hi @Natasha6401,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you decide to cancel your HP Instant Ink service, you can continue using your printer by purchasing your own ink cartridges. Here is a brief overview of the process:

Cancel the Instant Ink Service:

  • Sign into your Instant Ink account.
  • Verify the serial number by selecting Overview, and then Printer Details in the Status area.
  • Click HP Instant Ink, then Update Plan in the left menu.
  • Scroll to Plan Details and click "Cancel my HP Instant Ink Subscription" then follow the prompts.

After Cancellation:

  • You can continue printing with Instant Ink supplies until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • After the billing cycle ends, Instant Ink cartridges must be replaced. These cartridges are designed to work only with enrolled printers.
  • Purchase Original HP Ink or Toner cartridges directly from a retailer of your choice to continue printing.

Switch to Regular Ink Cartridges:

  • Once the subscription is canceled, replace the Instant Ink cartridges with genuine HP cartridges to ensure compatibility and print quality.

Remember to return your Instant Ink cartridges as per HP’s guidelines once you replace them. This will help ensure you comply with the Instant Ink service terms as the cartridges are usually leased as part of the service.

I hope this helps.
