Hello,

I have the same issue about having instant ink cartridges that came with my printer (Envy Printer). I did as instructed by the printer and HP and signed up to the instant ink service with the free account. HP then told me that cartridges are on there way in the post, so what is the situation with the current cartridges in the printer. Are they mine or HPs? It was clearly suggeseted by the sign up process that to use the cartridges that came with the printer I had to sign up to the instant ink service. However am I limited to 15 pages a month from the current instant ink cartridges that came with the printer? That seems unfair as I bought the printer with them included with it. Can you please clear this issue up with me?

Many thanks,

Rachel

@CRRLottie,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Have you checked on the Ink cartridges? Does it say HP Instant Ink Ready

Instant Ink Service-compatible printers include regular HP ink cartridges (“Instant Ink Ready Cartridges”) in the printer packaging. The status of Instant Ink Ready Cartridges does not change unless and until You activate Your Service Account. If you have created Your Service Account within seven (7) days of printer set-up with an Instant Ink Ready Cartridge, the Instant Ink Service will automatically recognize and activate your Instant Ink Ready Cartridge as an “Instant Ink Program Cartridge”. If the printer You purchased came with Instant Ink Program Cartridges, carefully review the included written materials. Instant Ink Program Cartridges may only be used in conjunction with the Instant Ink Service. HP will thereafter send You additional Instant Ink Program Cartridges to allow for Your continued printing through the Instant Ink Service. If no Instant Ink Ready Cartridges or Instant Ink Program Cartridges were included with the Instant Ink Service-compatible printer that You purchased, then HP will send Instant Ink Program Cartridges to You after You have created Your Service Account.

As this is to do with Instant ink program. I would need to know few details related to your Instant ink account.

Since the instant ink account details are confidential, please send me the required information via private message.

I am sending you a private message with the information required. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
