How do we use the 2 year ink code in the box with our new printer. We have not used instant ink before. In the smart app it seems to want us to choose a subscription plan and we cannot find where to enter the code. It's not for the account Im logged in with. (It's one of our end users.)

I understand you are looking for free Instant Ink months.
For assistance with enrollment, refer to - Enrolling in HP Instant Ink
Promo codes can be applied to new subscriptions only.
Go to 123.hp.com to install the HP Smart app and set up your printer. To enroll a printer that is already in use, select the Get Supplies tile in the HP Smart app to be guided through enrollment.
In the last step of enrollment, before confirming your subscription, enter your promo code in the Special Offers box to get free months of service.
Check your HP Instant Ink account to make sure a promo code was applied.
Sign into your HP Instant Ink account.
If HP Instant Ink displays as a choice in the left menu, click HP Instant Ink > Plan Overview.
Check the My Account or Plan Details section to see how many free promo months are left.
Click Plan Activity or Account History in the left menu to see when your free months were used.
