- Instant Ink - Changed Black Cartridge Early in error

I'm signed up for Instant Ink and accidentally changed my black cartridge early. I was in a hurry to print a document and when I got the error code E2 and an almost blank document I thought the ink had run out. So I changed the black cartridge as I thought E2 would relate to the second cartridge. I later found that E2 is a paper error.
I don't want to refit the original cartridge as it might confuse the Instant Ink system. Should I just leave it as it is? I guess they might send a new cartridge.
Can anyone advise please?
