Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

After many years with HP Instant Ink Support the scanner on our HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer became defective. We also had a little used HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer so requested the contract be moved to this printer.
As we had 3 sets of cartridges for the HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer we thought we would continue you to use up the ink we had paid for in our contract, to print the posters we needed for our charity on this printer.
However, HP had different ideas and switched off our ability to print on the HP ENVY 5032 and use up the ink we have in stock,
The HP ENVY 5032 produced a message that displayed “ CARTRIDGE CANNOT BE USED UNTIL PRINTER IS INROLLED IN THE INSTANT INK“.
As we have paid for this service over the years this is unacceptable.
More over we now have to wait for the HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer cartridges to be delivered so we cannot print anything. This will have a serious effect on our charity'Holme Farm Project as we cannot print at this time.
Despite numerous request to help out HP are not interested. They never warned us this would happen and in each case quoted section 9 of the HP INSTANT INK TERMS OF SERVICE which is about the cancellation. See below
We did NOT cancel, we changed the type of cartridges required under the same contract.
As they refused to escalate the issue or put me through to a manager, it means I can only take this up with the Financial Ombudsman Service, BBC Watchdog, and other campaigners, but this will be too late for our charity to apply for grants with deadlines.
One of our recent grants is for IT equipment and we had chosen HP which in light of this service will change.

Cancellation by You. You may cancel Your Service at any time online at www.hpinstantink.com or by calling the HP Customer Support at the HP Customer Support Telephone number noted at the beginning of this Agreement, and your Service will then be cancelled effective as of the last day of Your current Month Period. For example, if Your current Month Period runs from January 15th to February 15th, and You submit a cancellation request to HP on January 30th, Your Service will be cancelled as of February 15th. Hi @Ronnie4619,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you wanted to use the instant ink cartridges of your older printer HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer on your HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer.

Please note that instant ink cartridges cannot be transferred from one printer to another. You need to enroll your HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer to instant ink and you will get the new set of cartridges for that unit. You may then cancel the subscription for your older printer (HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer).

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Dear Rainbow23
Slight miss understanding,  I did not cancel my contract but changed the contract from one printer to another.
All I want is to use up the cartridges I still have for the 5032 printers, cartridges I have paid for over years.
This has had a major hit on our charity as I can no longer print at the moment.
HP refuses to escalate the complaint and refuses for me to be able to speak to a manager.
At the moment I am looking at applying to the Financial Ombudsman as it is a contract and drafted a letter to BBC Watchdog and the Guardian,  but in business, I have specified HP for years and now looking to use them for the charity,  I respected them but this is just so wrong.

Hi @Ronnie4619,

You can use the cartridges for your instant ink enrolled printer HP ENVY 5032 All-in-One Printer only but not on HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer as instant ink cartridges are printer specific. If you want to use instant ink cartridges for your  HP ENVY 6432e All-in-One Printer, then you need to enroll that printer to instant ink and HP will send you a fresh set of cartridges based on your page plan.

Moreover, when you sign up for an HP Instant Ink plan, you pay a monthly fee to print a defined number of pages per month. The plans are based on the number of pages that you print, not on how many ink cartridges you use. Ink cartridges are automatically shipped out when the ink cartridges are low on ink. There is no charge for ink cartridges.

You may also contact HP instant ink support for more information from this link: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/service/hp-instant-ink-series/5264756

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a nice day.
