Product: HP OfficeJet 6950 All-in-One Printer

I am upgrading my printer for another HP and will give my old printer to my sister. I will add the new printer to my account and delete the old printer. Will the inks ALREADY in the old printer still work? I  do not have any unopened ones to hand over, my sister will buy her own when the current ones run out.
