Over the past weekend I had some visitors and one of them changed my router to be a public Wi-Fi network. Up to that point I had no problem with my printer reporting page usage to instant ink. Now however the instant ink web page says it cannot connect to the printer.
I have changed the Wi-Fi network back to private and verified that this is its status following a reboot. I have also re-setup the Wi-Fi connection in the printer Wi-Fi settings. But the problem persists even following reboots of the printer and the router.
The printer is attached to a laptop PC via a USB connection and via the Wi-Fi to iPads and iPhones.
Is the fact that I have one device connected to the printer via USB a reason for the instant ink page not seeing the printer or are there other things I need to do to get it all working again properly?
