HP ENVY 6400
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got a new printer and it is enrolled in instant ink. The black ink is out from the starter ink and the instant ink is on its way. I do have an old printer still enrolled in instant ink as well. The old printer has plenty of ink and also just got a new shipment of instant ink cartridges. My question is, since the cartridges have not been opened or put into the old printer at all, could I put them into my new printer and have it be attached to my new printer's instant ink account? Or is it since the ink cartridges came from the old printer's account, do they have to be only used for my old printer?

Hi @ntcling,

I'd like to help!

The cartridges are specifically tagged with your printer, you will not be able to use the other printer's cartridges.

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
