Instant Ink is a scam!

I purchased a HP Printer that came with Instant Ink. What a mistake. Every time I needed ink-nothing came in the mail. I was still paying the monthly fee.

I attempted to call-always long holds-to the point I work and had to get off the phone.

My son has moved in with me-he is in grad school and needs to print things.

I have cancelled Instant Ink because it is a rip off-regardless of how they spin the costs when you do get a live person---who does NOT help.

I have purchased color cartridges but my black cartridge is old-from Instant Ink. Because I am no longer enrolled--the cartridge does not work???

Talk about Big Brother!

The subscription works in a certain way and not everyone agrees with it.

I am sorry you are upset.

The answer:

You do have to replace all the cartridges after the subscription is terminated.

What?

Ink is provided as part of the subscription - all activated Instant Ink Ready and Instant Ink cartridges will lock after the termination of the subscription.  The details are included in the Instant Ink Terms of Service Contract and several of the support documents (links included later in this message).
