I'm sure you all know about this Instant Ink scam.
To make it short, i bought my own ink to be able to keep using this printer.
I just noticed on HP instant ink website this message
"Insert an HP Instant Ink cartridge to make sure your service continues without interruption. If a non HP Instant Ink cartridge is installed, we won't know when to ship your next cartridge. You will still be charged your monthly fee, even if you don't use HP Instant Ink cartridges."
What is this piece of *bleep* talking about?
I have to pay monthly regardless?

I am sorry you are disappointed.
Yes, Instant Ink Print-by-Page service is a subscription and governed by the contract for the service.
The monthly subscription is due each payment period.
Switching off Web Services or purchasing your own ink while the subscription is active does not suspend the subscription or cancel the contract.
You have not been singled out for this - the contract is the same for all subscribers.

If the subscription was canceled as explained in the Terms of Service contract, then yes, you should be able to print without Instant Ink monthly service fee.
Obviously, something must be wrong - the subscription, if you are still being billed, is perhaps not cancelled.
I cannot access your personal account data - and I could not do anything with it anyway.
I will forward this question for review.
Have your subscription cancellation information ready in case there are questions.
