HP Recommended

I have had a HP Envy 4500 wireless printer for 5 or so years and it recently has stopped working. Specifically it shows a screen that reads "Instant Ink status. Cannot Print. Press OK to connect printer to update status." When I press OK the screen shows a short "Connecting..." then show "Update in Progress. Update is in progress. This may take several minutes. You can check HP instant status from the home menu." No mater how long I wait... Hours... Days... It does the same thing when I try to print, and when I check the Instant Ink status.

I have already

1. restarted printer

2.restarted my computer

3.restarted my WiFi modem 

4.Disconnected and reconnected my printer to my WiFi network

5.removed and re-added my printer from my HP app

6.Make sure that my instant ink payments were still going through

7. moved my printer within 15 ft of my WiFi router

 

Please anyone help. This whole situation has made me rethink whether or not I want to continue using HP Printers. And before someone says it NO I am not going to buy a new printer.
