Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I have just purchased, but not unboxed a new hp 2720 All In One Deskjet Printer. I only print 5-6 pages a month and don't want to subscribe to Instant ink, its just not worth it. My last hp printer still had the original ink after 4 years. Can I print without subscribing to Instant ink?
