I paid for Instant Ink cartridges and they were sent to me long before the loaded ones were close to being empty. Since I had two sets on cartridges on addition to the set in the printer, I choose to cancel my subscription. Now the cartridges for which I paid are not usable. This is ridiculous!

Now that I have purchased another set of cartridges, everything is working properly.

as soon as this printer reaches the end of its usefulness,, I will purchase another but without a doubt, it will NOT be HO!!!

I understand your frustration with the situation regarding the Instant Ink cartridges. The HP Instant Ink program is designed to ensure that users always have ink available by sending cartridges before they are needed based on usage patterns. However, one of the conditions of the Instant Ink program is that the ink cartridges are specifically tied to the subscription plan. Once the subscription is canceled, the Instant Ink cartridges cannot be used, even if they were paid for, as they remain the property of HP.

 

For future purchases, if you prefer not to use subscription services, you can certainly choose printers that allow for regular purchasing and use of ink cartridges without a subscription. This will give you more flexibility to manage ink purchases on your terms.
