Hello @Brin1960, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

UA_200_OWSVD00001: Means connection timed out during setup. Wait a few hours and then try again.

Update the HP app

  • Update the HP app to the latest version, which can fix setup or connection issues.
  • Open an internet browser on the device with the HP app and go to 123.hp.com.
  • On the page that opens, search for your HP printer.
  • The print app for your printer is displayed on the page.
  • Click the link on the page to open the app store for your device.
  • Click Update to get the latest version of the print app.
  • If only Open displays, the app is up to date.

Make sure the printer is ready for software setup

  • Check for any remaining packing materials and make sure the printer is in a ready state.
  • Make sure all packing materials and tape have been removed. Open the cartridge access door and the paper tray to look for and remove any remaining materials inside the printer.
  • Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on.
  • Return to the error window in the HP app, and then click Try Again.
  • If the issue is not resolved, select Exit Setup, and then close the HP app. Restart the printer, and then reopen the HP app to complete the setup.

Remove and re-add the printer in the HP app

  • Troubleshoot HP app and HP account setup issues by removing and re-adding the printer.
  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or with a USB cable.
  • Close then reopen your print app.
  • Turn the printer off and then turn the printer on.
  • Remove the printer from your print app.
  • HP app: Click your printer, scroll to the bottom of the page, and then click Remove from app.
  • HP Smart: right-click your printer, click Hide Printer, and then click Hide Printer again.
  • Click Add Printer, and then complete the setup in the print app.

Secure Erase or Restore All Factory Defaults

  • Perform a Secure Erase or Restore All Factory Defaults with the printer Embedded Web Server (EWS). Secure Erase can help resolve printer setup issues, connectivity problems, and error messages.
  • Open the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the printer IP address.
  • Restore the printer settings using one of the following methods available from your printer’s EWS.
  • Click Settings, then Secure Erase under Restore Defaults.
  • Click General, then Restore all factory defaults.
  • Click Restore Factory Defaults or Factory under Restore Defaults.
  • Click Service, then Restore defaults.
  • If you are prompted to log in or enter the printer PIN, enter the PIN from the printer label, and then click Submit or OK. This label is typically located inside the cartridge access area or printer door.

Location of the PIN on the printer label

  • Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network, if necessary.
  • Check for any printer firmware updates.
  • Open the HP app, click Add Printer, and then complete the setup in the print app.

Take care and have an amazing day!
