How can this be acceptable?

Cutting off our ability to print by blocking off the print cartridges [content edited]

Yup, just learnt this today. I have paid £56 over 18 months, never had a refill - as I don't print enough pages but if I cancelled my subscription they block the cartridges from working so not only do i waste the money paid so far, I have to buy a HP original cartridge on top of the money paid to HP and I can't use cartridges already in my possession. I'll never buy a HP product again, I feel totally scammed

The interesting thing here is customer retention and market share considerations have been eliminated from this pricing strategy for HP INK. Either that or HP doesn't credit today's customers with any sense or decision-making capability to choose another brand. This campaign is pretty damaging to the HP brand as far as I can see. Especially when customers feel knowingly RIPPED OFF.

As a result of this experience, I will NEVER buy a HP product again as the brand is no longer trustworthy to me. So to make money now by, I would say, legal but unethical means, HP is cannibalising its future growth and profit. It used to be that the big brands were very safe but with social media and the reach of consumers no brand is safe and their fortunes can turn on a penny.

If you will be boycotting HP in the future, put a thumbs up here so we can send a message!
