Common problems for INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Instant Ink. Check out this link: HP INSTANT INK, HP+ PLANS: INK AND TONER. .

Hello there my question is a bit detailed. I wanted to know since I had picked up a free printer off of Facebook marketplace and finally connected it to the Wi-Fi and know that it is working. I wanted to start the instant ink subscription originally since there was already an Instant ink, Cartlidge inside of it it seems to be now working, even though before my first instant in Cartlidge comes in the mail. Can someone explain to me what all I need to know because it looks like my account is already active?

It sounds like the previous Instant Ink subscription was not properly cancelled.  I would suggest you start by contacting the previous owner (or the person you got the printer from, who may have been handling the estate for the previous owner or ??).  If they have an account that is still active it will need to be cancelled.  After that I would suggest contacting the HP Instant Ink support folks as described in the post here.  You would need to explain the situation to them, and likely they would be able to use the printer's serial number to find if it has an active account.  If the previous account has been cancelled they would likely be able to get you signed up.
