Help, l recently re registered my printer on hpinstant ink, it seems despite such a poor service, l am tied to HP for ink cartridges as they have software that prevents  me using third party ink cartridges on a 10+ year old printer, so lam resigned to the fact l’m being held at ransome, again paying for a service lm not benefiting from. So, l need help form a user as Hp seem to go out of their way to allow the customer talking to a human.

 

AI boot is repetitive and gets me nowhere , what’s app, somebody is reading my messages and not replying, lve been trying this for the last three days, l just can’t get to talk to a human, but they have taken my money!

 

lve registered my printer , lm on line , lost count of the number of times lve done resets, on my device , computer and Wi-Fi. But, still despite Hp cartridges in my printer, lm told that they cannot be used until lve enrolled the printer.  The printer is enrolled ….. talking the emotions out of the discussion can somebody point me in a direction where l can either fix the current status, or know of an alternative to contact g hp instantink without talking to Bots.

Try these steps:

Check Printer Registration:

  • Make sure your printer is properly registered with HP Instant Ink.
  • You can verify your registration status by logging into your HP Instant Ink account.

Ensure Proper Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the internet. This connection is crucial for the HP Instant Ink service to monitor your ink levels and send replacement cartridges when needed.
  • Check your printer’s network settings and make sure it is connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Reinstall HP Instant Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove the current HP Instant Ink cartridges and reinsert them.
  • Make sure the cartridges are properly seated in the cartridge carriage.

Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware may cause issues with cartridge recognition and connectivity.
  • You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or directly from the printer’s control panel.

Troubleshoot Connection Issues:

  • If your printer is not connecting properly, try reconnecting it to the network. You can do this by going to the printer’s control panel and selecting the network setup or wireless settings option.
  • Restart your router and printer. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Hi, l believe because the cartridges l have are in fact HP product appears to be the problem, these were bought at Tesco because Hp instant ink failed to deliver on the replenishment [ that’s why l cancelled my contract] l soon found out that l could not continue using 3rd party cartridges an had to reinstate my account with the same printer, serial number etc lam registered in Hp instant ink, lam of the belief now that until Hp ship me new cartridges with the secret chip installed my printer will never work.  But, what l really do not understand is that on my dashboard theres a comment that l should continue using my current cartridges until they are finished, then Hp instant ink will do their  magic, l haven’t seen the magic yet, maybe the AI Bot has taken a holiday.

 

sorry , this is  a rant of a very unhappy customer, but hey who cares at HP.
