Hello,

I recently bought an HP DeskJet 2820e printer. The HP Smart app is installed and the printer is connected, but I accidentally rejected the 3-month free Instant Ink trial.

Now I am seeing issues related to the HP account and the cartridge, and I also receive a cartridge jam/error message. I would like to activate the 3-month Instant Ink trial and start using the printer normally.

Could you please help me enable the trial and resolve the account and cartridge issues?

I am sorry to hear that you're experiencing cartridge errors with your HP DeskJet 2820e and want to activate the Instant Ink trial, I would request you to please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

Check Eligibility:

Check for Instant Ink Enrollment:

  • If you are part of the Instant Ink program, make sure that the Instant Ink cartridges have been inserted into the printer that's registered under the Instant Ink account.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on to see if the error resolves.
