I am trying to remove the printer from my account and to delete my account. I have tried following all the steps that are shown in HP guides. Whenever i click on remove printer, it says i have an active subscription. Whenever I go check the subscriptions i see it three times, and all three show the cancel subscription button greyed out. when i click on manage subscription for each it says i can enroll it again. Really frustrating trying to get this removed, i cannot even connect my printer even though i am on the network. (trust me I work in IT- have tried all our usual steps)

any help or insight will be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get rid of this printer but want to make sure its not an any accounts under my name.

Hi @frustratednnn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the printer is still tied to an active or not fully finalised HP Instant Ink enrollment, which can block printer removal and account deletion.

What you can do:

  1. Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account.

  2. Go to HP Instant Ink > Update Plan and check whether a Keep Enrollment button appears.

    • If it appears, the printer cancellation is still in progress until the end of the billing cycle.

  3. If Cancel Instant Ink is available, use it and complete the prompts.

  4. If the printer shows multiple subscription entries and the Cancel subscription button is greyed out, HP advises contacting HP Instant Ink Support, because the account may still be in a pending or incomplete subscription state.

  5. If you are also having printer connection issues, make sure the printer is still connected to the internet while enrolled, since Instant Ink services depend on that connection.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
