Hello,
im really hoping someone can help me. I’m disabled and purchased a HP printer to print documents and photos of our family. After a few weeks, it started putting bands on printouts. Since I used to be a technician at a college, I knew to clean the heads and run alignment settings. None of this helped. I’ve emailed HP a number of times, the shop don’t want to know, but I’ve continued paying for my instant ink subscription for over 2 years, hoping HP could get the printer fixed. This means I’ve wasted around £200 on ink I couldn’t use. I’m wanting to replace the printer and the new printer comes with a 9 month trial. Will HP either offer me a new printer, which should have happened years ago or at least add the free 9 months to my instant ink account.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
In general, the subscription to Instant Ink does not in any way influence available HP Support for the physical printer.
That said, only HP speaks for HP.
I will send a request to our Community Moderator team for review of your situation and concerns.
What else?
Were it mine to do, I'd start by contacting Instant Ink Support.
At the least, you can get information on cancelling, continuing, or moving your subscription to a new printer.
Your faster option:
Contact HP Instant Ink Support during business days and hours available in your region.
OR
You may choose to wait here in the HP Community for an agent to find and respond to your question.
When necessary, Agents can access private information.
Waiting is not faster – our Community is not HP Instant Ink Support – Waiting generally works.
