I am contemplating starting a small claims lawsuit against HP for their lack of response and failure to resolve an open case.  I have a damaged HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 due to HP Instant Ink sending me a faulty blue cartridge that leaked throughout the internal components of this printer.  It flooded my printhead and gunked up the roller and other internal moving parts to this printer. Over two months ago I reached out to HP Instant Ink customer service and they recognized that it was their faulty cartridge that caused this damaged but quickly said my printer was out of warranty and they couldn't do anything about it. I quickly replied with the facts, the photos and photos of their faulty cartridge and the condition it has now left this printer in and the poor print quality that is occurring because of their faulty cartridge a d explained my printer warranty has nothing to do with their service and goods that directly caused this damage to my printer. I went above and beyond trying to clean everything based on their recommendations nothing has fixed this mess.  My printhead is a replaceable part so my response to them was to escalate this open case and my demands were simple, replace the printhead for my printer model or replace the printer woth the same printer or a like model that has tge same qualities and functionality as this printer has and color is of no concern to me, and I have also made it very clear that I am 100% ok with either option that HP chooses to resolve this open case but they have not responded to these requests or any if my communication.  They have however threatened to close the case I have if they dont hear back from me.  However. I have all of the phone records, I have all of the online communications and email correspondence with time stamps, all of my evidence, the faulty cartridge, the printer that is damaged, and proof of poor print quality now.  So I am ready and positive that I can open a small claims case and with a judgement against HP including my any incurred fees for having to do this.  It is mind blowing to me thst as a loyal HP customer and current active subscription holder to HP Instant Ink, I would have thought they would have had better customer service and have been willing to promptly replace the printhead or replace the 300 dollar printer by now instead of going through all of this trouble.

This was the original online case chat I had with online support Case >removed< which is where the original representative told me they would provide a printhead replacement or new printer due to their faulty cartridge causing this damage.

Are you able to have a US based executive give me a call regarding my situation as the person who called me did not understand the issue at hand nor was he willing to empathize and understand the situation and again talked about a my printer being out of warranty and the only thing they would do was send a ink cartridge replacement.  This is not utterly ridiculous

This is my final attempt to explain and get a positive resolution before I open up a small claims case against HP.  This case has nothing to do with me requesting a warranty claim under my printers serial number, this is a case for damages caused by HP Instant Ink service and product supplied to me under my active paid account.  In March 2026 I reached out due to the cartridge leaking its blue ink and flooding the printhead causing the screen and inkwells to gunk up from that excessive ink leak and no longer allowing my printer to print clean quality print jobs.  I expect to be made whole again by HP either supplying a new print head or a like printer which ever you so choose to make this right will be acceptable by me.  I have all of the online chats and emails that I have had with multiple representatives and I am positive that you have them too so you can look up the saved communications and I will print them and include them in my court case should this move forward in that direction.  I have also supplied numerous times the evidence explanation and photos of everything requested which I will also include in the case evidence.
