This is not the right place but there was no option in the list for my problem. Maybe someone here can help.

 

I have an HP 3060 printer which was bought four or five years ago. I was in the Instant Ink program but they were sending me too much ink so i opted out of it. Then my printer was locked and i could no longer used  - bought a Canon and will not buy HP again! However, i'd like to get rid of the HP and wondering if it has to be unlocked first or if it will work for someone else. Hope someone can answer this question here. I've been through several hoops already ....

I'd like to help!

 

And here's what you need to know & do:

 

If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.

 

That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536

 

when done successfully, check if it works fine.

At the control panel, press Machine Status, then touch the Tools tab. Touch Authentication / Security Settings > System Administrator Settings > System Administrators Login ID.
