Hi @Jerry443,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the power cord for your HP Deskjet 2700e is too loose in the back of the printer, you may try the following steps to address the issue.

  • Ensure Proper Insertion: Make sure that you are inserting the power cord correctly into the power port on the back of the printer. It should fit snugly and securely.
  • Use the Correct Power Cord: Ensure that you are using the power cord that came with the printer or a compatible replacement. Using the wrong power cord may result in a loose connection.
  • Check for Damaged Parts: Inspect both the power cord and the power port on the printer for any signs of damage. If either the cord or the port is damaged, you may need to replace the faulty component.
  • Alternative Power Outlet: Try plugging the power cord into a different electrical outlet to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, the problem may be with the outlet rather than the printer or the power cord.
  • Use a Different Cord: If you have access to a spare power cord that fits the printer, try using it to see if the connection is more secure. This can help determine whether the issue is with the cord itself.

Remember to exercise caution when dealing with electrical components.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
