HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently moved to a different state and was able to set up the printer easily and successfully on my wireless network.  However, the printer cannot connect to the Instant Ink server(s).  I have tried the HP print and scan doctor several times, the HP Support assistant, HP Smart, the HP Virtual assistant, checked the Web, etc. all of which have been utterly useless.  When logged into my HP account, it was indicated that there was a "critical firmware update" that I needed to install for my printer, so I downloaded and ran it.  It couldn't find any printers at all.  **bleep**?   I assume it must be network related, but have no idea what that would be and/or where to look.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike

Fixed the problem!  🙂  Basically wiped out all the old settings, ended up w/ a new IP address for the printer and Web Services setup was successful.
