Hi everyone! 👋

I recently signed up for HP Instant Ink and wanted to share my experience so far, plus see if others have tips or similar experiences.

So far, the convenience has been the biggest win for me — no more last-minute runs to the store when I notice the cartridge is low. The printer just tracks usage and new ink shows up before I actually run out, which has saved me more than once during busy weeks.

A few things I've noticed:

  • The plans are based on pages printed per month rather than ink volume, which took a little getting used to, but it's worked out well since I print a mix of text and photos.
  • Rollover pages have been handy on months when I print less than usual.
  • Enrollment and setup through the HP Smart app was pretty straightforward.

A couple of questions for the community:

  1. Does anyone know if unused rollover pages ever expire, or do they just keep accumulating up to a cap?
  2. Has anyone switched plans (up or down) mid-cycle, and if so, how smooth was that process?
  3. Any tips for monitoring usage so I don't get surprised by an overage charge?

Would love to hear how Instant Ink has worked for others, especially if you print a lot of photos or use it for a home office setup. Thanks in advance for any insights! 😊
