HP has effectively bricked my printer unless I use their service. I was signed up for instant ink but never used it. I didn't even realize I had it until I needed to cancel a stolen credit card and started getting popups about updating my payment method. So I went to the site to officially cancel it to stop those irritating pop ups. However now everytime I send a print job my printer flashes the icon saying I need to update my payment and cancels the job. These are my own ink cartridges, I never even opened the ones they sent me, but my printer is bricked now unless I resubscribe. HP are a bunch of scam artists
