Thank you Dragon-Fur, your reply was helpful.  I had already drilled down to where the phone number should have been listed, but there was no number; it was after the listed business hours.

I suspected the phone number might be available during business hours.  I decided to try the HP community since I did not know, and I had already spent a lot of time getting that far.

I was reassured by you letting me know "the phone number will display when the office is open for business."  The other information you provided will be helpful for those who have not reached the phone number area.

I was able to talk to a live HP Instant Ink agent today; surprisingly, getting through the automated system did not take as long as usual, and the agent picked up sooner than later.  Soon I will be able to close this chapter in my life. 😄

For anyone else who uses HP Instant Ink and is planning to replace an HP printer with a non-HP printer, talk to an HP Instant Ink agent before you end your subscription; as Dragon-Fur said, it is easier to reach a live person.
