I just installed a new color cartridge and it contains no CYAN ink. Why cant I simply get a replacement cartridge sent to me? Why isnt there a simple return/replacement process? I cannot be the only one. Its still within warranty, but too late to return to AMAZON. HP service really sucks!

Hi @bad_Ink_Cartrdg,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've installed a new color cartridge in your HP ENVY 7645 e-All-in-One Printer and it doesn't contain any cyan ink, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and address the issue.
-
Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridge you installed is compatible with your printer model. Refer to the printer's user manual or the HP website to verify the correct cartridge type.
-
Verify Cartridge Installation: Make sure the cartridge is properly installed. Open the printer cover and double-check that the cartridge is securely inserted into the correct slot.
-
Remove and Reinstall: Try removing the cartridge and reinstalling it. Ensure that it clicks securely into place.
-
Check for Protective Tape: Some ink cartridges have a protective tape that needs to be removed before installation. Verify that there is no tape obstructing the ink flow.
-
Printer Software and Drivers: Ensure that your printer software and drivers are up to date. Visit the HP website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
-
Print a Test Page: Use the printer's control panel to print a test page. This can often be done through the printer's settings menu. Check if the cyan color is present on the test page.
-
Run Printer Maintenance: Many printers have built-in maintenance tools that can be accessed through the control panel or the printer software. Look for options like "clean printheads" or "align cartridges" to optimize print quality.
-
Check Ink Levels: Verify the ink levels through the printer software or the printer's display. This can give you an indication of whether the cyan cartridge is recognized and has ink.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
