Hi, I have just moved from the UK to the US. I have bought a new printer and linked it to my account. However, I cannot update my address is the country is greyed out. Please help me change my region and my address so I can receive ink at the correct address without having to cancel my account and set up an entirely new account.

Hi @GibGibGib,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how inconvenient this must feel, moving countries and finding you can’t update your HP account is frustrating.

At the moment, the country/region field in an HP account (including Instant Ink) cannot be changed once it’s set. This is because subscription services, supplies delivery, and warranty terms are tied to the original region.

👉 To use your new U.S. address and continue receiving ink, you’ll need to:

  1. Cancel your current Instant Ink account that’s linked to your UK region.
  2. Create a new Instant Ink account with your U.S. address and payment method.
  3. Re-enroll your printer under the new account.

I know this isn’t ideal, but it’s the only way to ensure your supplies are shipped correctly in the U.S.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
