hp envy inspire 7200e

Bought a used printer, it has Instant Ink cartridges and it won't let me print until I register it. I am unable to resgister it because the old owner, whom I have no contact with had already registered. Please HELP!!!

Hi @stephNfred ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Envy Inspire 7200e is still registered under the previous owner’s HP Instant Ink account, you won’t be able to use the Instant Ink cartridges unless the previous owner removes the printer from their account.

Steps to Fix the Issue

Remove Printer from Previous Owner’s Account (If Possible)

If you can contact the previous owner, ask them to:

  1. Log in to their HP Instant Ink account at instantink.hpconnected.com.
  2. Remove the printer from their account by going to Manage Subscription > Cancel Enrollment.
  3. Once they remove the printer, you should be able to register it under your own HP account.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
