HP Ink is taking advantage of a captive audience.
The price hikes are way out of line and should be investigated for price gouging. Nothing justifies this increase - i still have the same cartridges as when I started the plan 18 months ago (I'm up to 300 pages now per month), and HP hasn't had to lift a finger. Definitely feel burned.
And by the way, quitting isn't trivial - the current cartridges are nullified and you have to buy new ones at $50-70/cartridge that last 2-3 months at the most. TOTAL RIPOFF.
NOT MANY THINGS MAKE ME ANGRY. HP Ink, I implore you to reconsider. I see no need to increase the prices unless you're adding value or you've got more costs to support me. Last time I looked after the initial cost of the cartridges you sent, you've had to do NO support over the past 18 months = 0 cost to support and no value added. Prices should not be increased.
This action will generate the opposite of its seeming intent. HP, while you think this will make you more money, you've poked the nest of many like me who have never liked buying cartridges. The subscription plan was suspect but was working out at current prices. Now you've shown your greed and it will backfire. You will lose customers.
Time to investigate the competition's inkwell printers. Who's with me?
