- New colour cartridge error message

I've just received my replacement cartridges. When I install the new colour cartridge, an error message says that the cartridge must be replaced and the printer won't operate. When I re-install the old, empty cartridge, the printer will operate but the colour is poor.

Thanks for the reply. I have followed the instructions in the link and the problem persists. It goes away, however, when the old colour cartridge is installed, which suggests to me that the problem is the cartridge rather than the printer. How do I report a faulty cartridge and receive a replacement please?
