New Printer - Deskjet 4155e - new ink cartridges. originally could not get the printer to print at all. Finally got the cartridge reset to work so I was able to print the test page in blue. Printer now prints only color but predominantly blue. No black at all, no gray scale, nothing using the black cartridge comes out. It acts like it is printing but the page is blank. I reset the black cartridge a few times, also I do get ink on my hand if I touch the writing portion of the cartridge so it is not an ink issue. Plus screen shows ink cartridge is full as well. This started with the startup ink cartridges not printing at all and needing to be reset.

Hi @Alurahomes,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing printing issues with your HP Deskjet 4155e All-In-One Printer wherein it does not print in black.
Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.

I have no idea what program I am supposed to be deleteing. I have literally 20 HP apps in my programs directory. My laserjet shows up in the list but the Deskjet 4155 e does not. None the less I went through and did everything else and I have the exact same symptoms, no black in prints.

I went through the entire process again, the second time I deleted "HP PRINT" since this loaded up when I was working to load the drivers for the 4155e. The only difference the second time through is I had to search for the printer again. The end result was the same, absolutely no Black ink printing at all. The cartridge is brand new (came with printer) so its full. Printer shows its is full also.
Color (really just blue that I can see) will print but nothing black and white. I have owned this printer for over a year and I have never gotten it work. I am further this time than last but I think where this thing croaked was with the setup cartridges, which I never saw.......I found out later when trying to get this junk to work, that there even were setup cartridge. Really bad design on that perspective.......
Any other suggestions, I am about to make this thing a part of the reef.....LOL
