HP OfficeJet 5230 All-in-One Printer

Although I can print I cannot log into my Instant Ink account and see my status - I have tried installing the EasyStart program three times to no effect.

The printer is networked via my router.

As I have said, I can actually use the printer but have no idea of where my account stands short of making a note of whatever I print.

Can anyone help please?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Are you getting any error messages while logging in?

Could you elaborate on the issue for better understanding?

Hello and thanks for the reply.

The situation is (or was) that I could give my login and password, but then it froze on the hpsmart/printplans page and would go no further. I tried this some five or six times to no avail, even trying the workaround provided by HP.

I haven't used the computer for a couple of days, but this afternoon I saw your message and went for a login in order to provide you with accurate information as to what was happening, and lo and behold, I could log into my account. I've done this three times without a problem so it seems that things are OK at present.

The only niggle is that on two of those occasions my printer was shown as offline, when in fact I could actually print.

So I have one problem solved (somehow) but another annoying one to contend with.

Strange!!

Regards,

Rick.

What is the other issue you are facing with the printer?

It seems like the mere threat of having you on hand to solve the problems has caused both my Instant Ink account and my printer to work exactly how they should, so thank you very much, and the season's best to you.
