@Maples4life613, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Resetting or Removing Old Instant Ink and HP Account Information!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you've bought a used HP OfficeJet 5258 printer and need to reset or remove the old owner's Instant Ink and HP account information, you can follow these steps:

Factory Reset is a Good Starting Point

Performing a factory reset on your printer will return it to its original state, removing any settings that may have been associated with the previous owner, including network connections and preferences.

Steps to Factory Reset the HP OfficeJet 5258:

Turn off the Printer: Start by turning off your printer using the power button.

Disconnect Power Cable: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.

Reconnect Power Cable: Plug the power cord back into the printer.

Turn on the Printer: Power on the printer and wait until it's completely started.

Access the Printer Menu: Using the touchscreen display, navigate to the 'Setup' menu.

Select Tools: From the setup menu, go to 'Tools' or a section labeled similarly.

Restore Factory Defaults: Look for an option to 'Restore Factory Defaults' or 'Reset.' Select this option to reset the printer to its factory settings.

Removing Instant Ink Enrollment

Sign into HP Instant Ink: You'll need access to the HP Instant Ink account to manage subscriptions. Go to the HP Instant Ink website.

Cancel Subscription: If you can access the account information, cancel the Instant Ink subscription from the 'Account' or 'Subscription' section.

Create a New Account: If you cannot access the old account, you'll need to set up a new Instant Ink account linked to your HP account credentials.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
