OfficeJet 3830 Incompatible Cartridge error

I have an HP OfficeJet 3830. I have used the HP Instant ink program since I bought it without problem. A few weeks ago I replaced the Colour cartridge and have printed without problem. A couple of weeks ago, I replaced the Black cartridge and I printed several pages without problem. At the time I installed the Black cartridge the  Ink level display showed lots of colour left. This past Monday when I went to print again, I got an error message saying my Colour ink cartridge was incompatible with my printer. I went online and followed directions to remove and clean the contacts etc on the Colour cartridge but continue to get the same error. I checked my Instant ink account to see about getting a replacement cartridge, but it says another colour cartridge won't be shipped until this problem is resolved. Help please.

I have had an HP Officejet 3830 all in one printer for a few years now with the instant ink replacement program. i am now seeing the "incompatible cartridges" error message...have tried to reset my system and start it over, but nothing works.
