My OfficeJet 4650 has worked really well until today. All of a sudden, the black ink is smeared on the page.
I have tried everything suggested by the virtual assistant, such as:
1. Clean cartridges
2. Align printer
3. Clean page smears
4, Print quality report
5. Check for updates (all is up to date)
Nothing has worked.
I would like a new black cartridge, yet my Instant Ink page says that I already have one - yes I do and it's causing the ink to smear on the printouts.
How do I get HP to send me one ASAP?
Thanks for any help.

I also manually cleaned the blank ink cartridge per the instructions.
I have since installed the Print and Scan doctor 5.0.6 and ran it. It did some updates. I had to restart my computer and run the doctor again.
After I did that, I printed a test page and all was fine except the black ink part which was, you guessed it, smeared.
So I chose the "clean printheads" option and printed another test page which had <guess what> smeared black ink.
So I then chose the "align printheads" option and printed another test page and to my disappointment, the black ink was still smeared.
I really think I need a new black ink cartridge and just want to know how to get one sent asap.
Thanks for any help.
