Hi @Davep434

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the situation clearly. I understand that the printer is able to print internal HP test pages but shows “out of paper” when trying to print from your connected device. It’s helpful to know that paper is already loaded.

To guide you effectively, could you please confirm the exact HP printer model you are using and the device or operating system you are printing from? Also, have you already tried any troubleshooting steps such as checking the printer status in the HP App or reconnecting the printer? These details will help us provide precise guidance.

In the meantime, here are some general checks you can perform:

  • Ensure the paper is properly aligned in the tray and not bent or curled.
  • Verify that the printer firmware is up to date using the HP App.
  • Restart both the printer and the device you are printing from, then try again.
  • Check if the printer is set as the default printer in your operating system.

Once you share the model and setup details, we can provide exact steps from HP resources to resolve this issue.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
