I’ve gotten a new internet router and I need to print the information sheet to get the printer wifi password to connect it, but pressing the i button does nothing, pressing any button does nothing. I have tried to reset the printer but that has not worked. WiFi button is flashing and there is a loading icon on the printers screen

@Reedy5, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP printer is stuck in a state where it's trying to connect to Wi-Fi but isn't responding to button presses. Here are some steps you can try to resolve it:
Step 1: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode
This resets the printer’s network settings so it can be discovered again.
For most HP printers without a touchscreen:
- Turn on the printer.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel (X) button together until the Power light blinks.
- Release the buttons. The Wi-Fi light should start blinking, indicating it's in setup mode.
For HP DeskJet 6000, 6400, ENVY 6000, 6400, and Tango series:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Power buttons on the back of the printer for 3 seconds until the wireless light starts flashing.
Step 2: Use the HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
- Open the app and tap “+” to add a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
Step 3: Print Network Info Manually
If the “i” button doesn’t work alone, try this:
- Press the Wi-Fi button and the “i” button together. This usually prints a network configuration page.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
