I have the above printer with a free (limited to no more than 700 printed pages) 6 month HP ink supply program. When it expires (Feb 10, 2023) I will be start being charged a monthly fee. If I decide that I do not use enough ink for the offered ink supply programs to be of value and I choose to buy HP cartridges locally when needed: 1)-Will the printer stop working on the date of my 6 month expiration (meaning that I'll have to go out and get cartridges locally effective Feb 10, 2023) in order to print anything? ; 2)-What will happen to the unopened 4 pack of ink cartridges HP just sent to me?

Hi @DDDAMORE,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you had queries about instant ink.

You will have to pay the monthly subscriptions charges after the trial period.

If you do not pay the monthly subscriptions charges, then the account will get suspended and you will not be able to print using the instant ink cartridges. You will have to purchase the new cartridges from the store.

The unopened instant ink cartridges need to returned back to HP.

You may also change the plan to a low page plan of 50 or 100 pages per month and use cartridges.

You may follow the steps listed below to change the instant ink plan:
1. Open your HP instant ink account page.
2. On the right-hand top corner, below My Plan, you will see the option "Change Plan".
3. Click on Change Plan and then click on the required option and follow the onscreen instructions.
You may also check the steps in this document: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04981429

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
